VASTA Conference 2013

Welcome to the VASTA 2013 Conference page.  Join us in beautiful Minneapolis as we work in the spaces of the Guthrie Theatre to explore community and collaboration. Voices of Wisdom: Spanning Generations speaks to the ever evolving work and growth of the voice practitioner. It is a call, to celebrate your own vocal and professional journey, the power of mentorship, pedagogy and fresh approaches in the field of voice.

Voice and speech trainers have long contributed to the significance of public health and performance work. As dynamic mediators between art and science, the voice practitioner occupies a complex position which is constantly in flux. Technologies change and practices evolve, and what might have seemed unimportant yesterday could be most vital today. Professional choices made by voice and speech trainers constantly shape and reshape how we work with other practitioners, students, performers, and the general public. Come, share your vocal journey with us!
