Bio
I have been working as a voice, speech, accent, and text coach for over three decades and have had the good fortune of working with amazing actors, professionals, theatre companies, filmmakers and vocal health . I love nothing more than helping people unlock their voice in a way that it communicates their uniqueness as a person--whether it be playing a role or in their everyday or professional life; I find fascination in utilizing techniques to make certain that they are accessing their voice in a healthy manner; I prize the times I help an actor bring to life difficult theatrical texts, and I revel in helping someone find new ways of using their speech to accurately speak in another accent.
I draw upon the many studies listed below but also my experiences in working with some amazing performers and directors. These range from textual studies, studies in communication sciences, theatrical voice production, speech production, and singing. Additionally, I also work as a stage director and performer. All of these are a part of my toolbox for coaching and training people on their communications journey.
