Amy Hume is Lecturer in Theatre (Voice) at Victorian College of the Arts, and voice and dialect coach for theatre, film and TV. Prior to joining VCA, Amy was a voice teacher to BFA and MFA students at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), voice and accents tutor at the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP), and Founder of Sydney speech and drama studio, Viva Voice.
Amy was most recently voice and dialect coach for Billy Elliot the Musical 10th Anniversary Tour (Louise Withers and Associates), White Pearl (Sydney Theatre Company/National Theatre of Parramatta), Fangirls (Queensland Theatre/Belvoir), Counting and Cracking (Belvoir/ Adelaide Festival) and Black Cockatoo (Ensemble). Television credits include The Unlisted (ABC/Netflix) and The Secrets She Keeps (Lingo Pictures).
For VASTA, Amy was Conference Co-Director of the Sydney conference 'Dreaming the Future: Evolving Traditions' to be held at NIDA in July 2020, cancelled due to Covid-19.
