Shakespeare's Language:  'Where Shape is Half the Meaning'
with Andrew Wade

When the poet Louis MacNeice described poetry in this way, he was opening up how structure is part of understanding and communicating.

This Workshop is for actors, directors and teachers who have a passion for language and an appetite to bring Shakespeare to life for now!

The Workshop will take different extracts from the plays and spend time practically sounding them out.

This is a group experience, where everyone is taking part throughout. By exploring the physicality of the language and opening up the different 'forms', we will discover how this reveals complexity of human nature contained within the writing.

Each day will involve preparation voice work, so that the participant is ready to respond to the demands of the text and reach effortlessly an audience.
