About this event

Anti-Abelist Confidence Building for Performance Trainers

This workshop led by Sarah Brown and Sammi Grant focuses on creating inclusive practices for students/clients with chronic physical impairments (CPIs) in the voice and speech classroom/studio. The content of the workshop derives from Sarah’s research for her dissertation for the MA in Voice Studies at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama as well as additions from Sammi, who was a key participant in the research. They will discuss the common barriers to engagement and inclusive teaching methods to improve engagement for those with CPIs. Additionally, there will be an interactive portion of the workshop during which attendees will explore creative adaptations.
