Kate Glasheen is an actor, voiceover artist, dialect coach, and voice & speech specialist. She teaches vocal health and production, verse and scansion, text analysis, the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), dialects, and voiceover at Texas State University. Professionally, she has coached voice and dialects at major regional theaters including the Tony Award Winning Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and Actors Theatre of Louisville and internationally in London, England. Kate has also taught at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music (CCM), Webster University, Millikin University, and The City Literary Institute in London, England. She has also taught vocal workshops for Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and the Rose Theatre, Kingston in London, England.
Kate has a passion for health, wellness, and personal growth and development. She is currently training to become a licensed Personal Growth and Development Coach through the CoActive Training Institute.
Kate has served as Reviews Editor for the Voice & Speech Trainers Association's scholarly journal The Voice & Speech Review since 2011 and recently received the 2020 VASTA Service Award in recognition for her efforts. Kate earned her MFA in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, University of London. Member: AEA, SAG/AFTRA, Voice & Speech Trainer's Association (VASTA), and The Alba Method Association.
