ADRIANNE MOORE is a freelance Voice/Text/Dialect Coach, a Voice Actor and a Director. She taught for 20 years and served as the Head of Voice and Speech for the BFA Acting Program in the Department of Theatre Arts at Utah State University. For the last five years of her time there she was head of the department and the Artistic Producer of the Lyric Repertory Theatre.
As a freelance voice/text/dialect coach work includes: Oregon Shakespeare Festival (JANE EYRE), American Players Theatre (DANCING AT LUGNASA, ONCE UPON A BRIDGE, STONES IN HIS POCKETS, AN IMPROBABLE FICTION, A DOLL’S HOUSE, OUR COUNTRY’S GOOD), Utah Shakespeare Festival (DRACULA, TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA, SHERLOCK HOLMES; THE FINAL ADVENTURE, and BOEING, BOEING), Pioneer Theatre Company (MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS, CHARLES III, DRACULA, THE HEIRESS, MY FAIR LADY), Salt Lake Acting Company (over 20 productions including SILENT DANCER,THE CAKE, HAND TO GOD, GOOD PEOPLE, and TRIBES), Tuacahn Center for the Arts (MARY POPPINS, COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO, MATILDA THE MUSICAL, SHREK, MARY POPPINS). She was the resident voice/dialect coach for the Lyric Repertory Company. Productions for Lyric include MACBETH, PETER and the STARCATCHER, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, BASKERVILLE, THE WOMAN in BLACK, THE FOREIGNER, RELATIVE VALUES, NOISES OFF and THE RIVALS. Film and TV includes THE CORPS (Netflix) GALYNTINE (AMC pilot) and THE SAVING OF SARAH CAIN. Originally from New Zealand, she also lived for long periods of time in Australia, Papua New Guinea and England before coming to the US. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Auckland, a Diploma in Directing from the British Theatre Association and an MFA in Directing from Florida State University. Vocal training includes the practices of Roy Hart, Patsy Rodenburg, Fitzmaurice Voicework and Knight Thompson Speechwork, amongst others.
Adrianne is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA) and has served as Associate Conference Planner for VASTA at ATHE (Association for Theatre in Higher Education), Conference Planner at ATHE and was an active member of the VASTA board for three years.
She is also a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Union (SDC) and is a certified Associate Teacher of Knight Thompson Speechwork.
